I miss carrying frames, when you find a thrown out one on the road you can’t resist it… let that be in #bali or #london.. thanks Reka for the pic :)
Back in the days, it would be walkers crisps and sodas, in #bali that’s not the case x) #long #live #gorengan #indonesia #godoh #utikutik #tahu #goreng #kripik #tempe #aqua
Will it still be like this in 5 years time? #bali #indonesia #nofilter

‘Music Won’t Stop’ was actually one of the t-shirts I made previously here and remade it again with black paint on white t-shirt.. The concept of the t-shirt can be seen on that link :)

On the right is a Special Request from Iis S. who lives in Jakarta, she liked the design and wanted it on black t-shirt, I really like the result :D I hope Iis liked it as well :)

With the help of my love, we managed to fill up the walls with my 12 babies… (Yes my paintings are my babies after all hehehe)
Based on the sketches I posted previously, these paintings had their own non conventional constructions, some with the usual canvas stretchers and others with the like of a kite stretcher, thanks to my love’s friend the painting construction became much neater than what I previously made
This little presentation was for seventh semester Studio Lukis VII (7th Painting Studies) examination which hopefully be my last Painting Studies Examination to get to the Last Project (Tugas Akhir).. I really hope I got a good grade… at least I’ve done my best…

‘Jagalah Baliku’ Series - Protect my Bali, Design made and painted by Savitri Sastrawan, year 2012

Inspired by what’s going on in Bali lately, I just felt I had to make something to make people realise how fragile Bali can be..

Terinspirasi dengan apa yang terjadi di Bali belakangan ini, saya merasa harus membuat sesuatu yang bisa menyadarkan banyak orang bahwa Bali sekarang sedang rapuh..

I might not paint that much on the 6th semester but for sure this 7th semester study, I didn’t leave what I love most
Yes, you name it, Balinese Dances
I must admit I have approached the Balinese dances in several ways but only this time I struggle because I had my steps, how should I say it, blocked? Basically they are sort of blocking what I would say my approach i.e. the question that is given to me by one lecturer during the mid test of this semester’s painting studies ‘Why leave the conventional if it’s good already?’ The problem is, Sir, I don’t want to approach it in the conventional way, so is it wrong to do it non-conventional way in this study? They say no… well.. I continued it anyway…
I made them floating.. which you will see it next… but in this one they are the sketches made from collages and more that became the source of the paintings you will see later on..
